KPMG Launches Multi-Year Program to Accelerate Global ESG Solutions
LONDON, October 2021 – KPMG has unveiled a
groundbreaking multi-year initiative to advance global solutions for
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) challenges. This ambitious program,
part of a broader multi-billion-dollar investment, will see KPMG committing
over US$1.5 billion over the next three years specifically to bolster ESG
efforts and support its clients in driving positive impact.
Regional ESG Hubs and Emerging Markets Accelerators
As part of its ESG
strategy, KPMG will establish Regional ESG Hubs in Europe, Asia Pacific, and
the Americas. These hubs will provide clients with world-class expertise and
tailored solutions on critical ESG issues, including global decarbonization and
comprehensive ESG advisory services. Additionally, KPMG will introduce Emerging
Markets Accelerators in regions such as the Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, Asia
Pacific, and Latin America. These accelerators will deliver specialized support
and financing expertise to help developing nations align with the UN
Sustainable Development Goals.
Collaborations with Leading Institutions
KPMG is partnering
with renowned academic institutions, including the University of Cambridge
Judge Business School and NYU Stern School of Business Executive Education, to
enhance its global ESG training programs. These collaborations aim to build a
robust learning framework and deliver sustainability training to KPMG’s 227,000
employees, empowering them to drive ESG change effectively.
Strategic Collaborations and Alliances
Understanding that ESG
challenges require collective action, KPMG is expanding its partnerships with
organizations such as UNESCO, Enactus, and the Global Reporting Initiative.
Additionally, alliances with technology leaders like Google Cloud, Microsoft,
Salesforce, and ServiceNow will enable the creation of innovative tools and
solutions that provide critical data insights, helping clients navigate their
ESG journeys and implement necessary changes.
Campaign for a Sustainable Future
KPMG is launching the
‘Voices for a Sustainable Future’ campaign to amplify diverse perspectives on
pressing ESG issues, from climate change to social equality. This initiative
will generate actionable insights and support efforts to accelerate the transition
to a more sustainable future.
