KPMG Launches Multi-Year Program to Accelerate Global ESG Solutions

LONDON, October 2021 – KPMG has unveiled a groundbreaking multi-year initiative to advance global solutions for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) challenges. This ambitious program, part of a broader multi-billion-dollar investment, will see KPMG committing over US$1.5 billion over the next three years specifically to bolster ESG efforts and support its clients in driving positive impact.

Regional ESG Hubs and Emerging Markets Accelerators

As part of its ESG strategy, KPMG will establish Regional ESG Hubs in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Americas. These hubs will provide clients with world-class expertise and tailored solutions on critical ESG issues, including global decarbonization and comprehensive ESG advisory services. Additionally, KPMG will introduce Emerging Markets Accelerators in regions such as the Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. These accelerators will deliver specialized support and financing expertise to help developing nations align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Collaborations with Leading Institutions

KPMG is partnering with renowned academic institutions, including the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and NYU Stern School of Business Executive Education, to enhance its global ESG training programs. These collaborations aim to build a robust learning framework and deliver sustainability training to KPMG’s 227,000 employees, empowering them to drive ESG change effectively.

Strategic Collaborations and Alliances

Understanding that ESG challenges require collective action, KPMG is expanding its partnerships with organizations such as UNESCO, Enactus, and the Global Reporting Initiative. Additionally, alliances with technology leaders like Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow will enable the creation of innovative tools and solutions that provide critical data insights, helping clients navigate their ESG journeys and implement necessary changes.

Campaign for a Sustainable Future

KPMG is launching the ‘Voices for a Sustainable Future’ campaign to amplify diverse perspectives on pressing ESG issues, from climate change to social equality. This initiative will generate actionable insights and support efforts to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future.
